**How Many Iron 883 Owners Out There?**

Might that be too long, cause a kink in the brake line, or did you get new banjos?
My brake line is too long and has a severre bend, my buddy who has the shop said it was fine, but he also knew I was replacing it soon.
I would have thought +2 would be plenty if you are only .5 short.
That is one reason I had the dealer measure and order, if it is wrong, it's on them, not me. You can't return cutom length cables.

Pretty great customer service from them!

Here's the long over due pics of the wife's Iron 1200. It has the SE 1200, Rebel Darksides, Sorgy's smoked lenses on all four corners, a HD fork bag, and flipped mirrors. Next up is the Black Diamond grips and pegs and either a passenger pillion or a Badlander seat....please excuse my Road King in the back

Pipes will not void your warranty, but open pipes will cost you a lot of low end torque.
My advice is before you choose an exhaust, go to some bike meets and hear what is out there, you will get a good idea of what it is that you like.
If all you do is pipes, and if you use torque cones or some kind of baffle, you should not need to get your ECU reprogrammed, but of course the dealer will tell you that your bike will explode if you don't get a $1000 retune of the ECU.

I have a 2010 Iron. I have had 3 different exhaust systems on it.
1) Screamin Eagles.
2) V&H 2-1 Outlaw pipes ( drag pipes)
3) V&H Shortshots
The review...
Pros...
Best sound... Outlaws
Best performance ... Outlaws
Best looking... Shortshots
Sceamin Eagles... Financing from stealership.
Cons...
Outlaws were low and would drag on hard leans into corners. Thus the term "Drag pipes".
Sceamin Eagles... Shitty sound, low style
Shortshots... Not enough back pressure, so average performance.

The Outlaws were not ment to be on my Iron. The area of Vancouver Island I live on is nothing but corners, as the roads follow the coast line. It was not long until I broke the mounting bracket that connects the pipes to the frame. Just about ate **** too. Good times!
Put the Short shots back on.
I am going to "lollipop" them this weekend for more back pressure.

Classic. If ya can dig this, that is North East of me. I'm in Sooke, BC. I have yet to find a place that has better riding than this. I'll go for a rip and get my lady and kids to follow with the camera in the car and show ya some of the roads here.
It would make a cool vid. The poor mans way of not having a helmet cam.
