**How Many Iron 883 Owners Out There?**

I did 1100 miles in 2 days on my mustang. I am sure glad I didn't have the stock seat. Your *** gets used to riding after awhile. Overall it is a very good seat for long distances. I do not like the fact it fells like I'm sitting on top of the bike. The seat is very tall.

Been lurking around here for quiet some time now so I thought I show you some pic of my bike, it a 2011 Iron 883. I am using a work computer. I'll try posting more later!

I'm installing 1" riser inserts, hoping to get my riding position just a bit more upright, but if that isn't enough, I'll have to look into new bars.

My only concern with em is the same as yours, will it give enough rise or would it be better to spring for mini-apes?

Getting the wiring internal was a b***h though. The first time we tired it took a half a day and we finally gave up, the next weekend we got them though although we had to drill a couple of extra holes to make it work. But when we put the grips and switches on we (really meaning me) took some of the insulation off and ended up pop a fuse. So the next weekend we got every fixed up and now she run like a champ.

I'm trying to avoid a bobber look so the mini apes are out for me.
If I have to extend cables/wiring, I'll fabricate a mount for the speedo, then install 6"-9" risers and drag style bars.
I'm hoping to avoid any solution that involves new cables/wiring/lines...we'll see....

the drags will greatly reduce your pullback. I put narrow drags on with the "48" speedo bucket and 3.5 inch straight risers, stock cables are still way too long, i think you could do drags and 6" straight risers with the stock cables.
My new custom black pearl magnum cables are going on this week.

My 2012 has room to raise the risers by at least a full inch, maybe two inches before that flexible piece of brake line runs out of room.
