Im confused, how can it "read" engine rpms? no additional cables? I like the blue and red leds, moco's tach is probly 399 too and this will look mucho betta

 

Nope no cables. Picks up all data via the stock harness from the ECM. just unplug your stock speedo and plug the Dakota in. 5 min job max!

Grrrr! Makes me wonder why doesn't Harley just use a digital speedo/tach right off the bat. Rpm data is already reaching the stock speedo but they don't even utilize it.

 

So they make more money selling you a tach :-)

 

When you buy it you have the option of choosing either the chrome or black surround

 

yep thats the iron seat. its pretty much a bolt on on 10 and 11 models.

 

So if this rpm data is getting to the speedo, could you cut into the speedo cable and add a techo?

 

ya thats what i thought but i didnt see that option on the website. i'll just have to call i guess.
