another random question from me. are rigid struts worth it? i like the clean look of them but how much more harsh does it make the bike ride? also, is there a vendor or site that sells nice chopped fenders for the iron? i looked on licks and didn't like their options at all.
Rigid struts are cool! I put my shocks back on for longer rides (10 minutes job), but the ride is not bad on the struts and it's a little lower. I got mine from road 6 custom for $35 with shipping.
I recently got an Iron and already upgraded - V&H Big Radius 2 into 2, stage 1 air cleaner, ECM calibration. What an improvement in performance and sound. I believe I gained a gear. I love this bike - its awesome.
So I need alittle help here. I have had my Iron for about 2 months now and I am wondering what kind of mods I should put on it. I'm also new to the whole biking thing so I don't have alot of knowledge about bikes. So, what are the appsolutley must have mods on an 883 Iron?
New pipes and your riding experience changes so much.

Everybody was a newby at one time or another. I've only had my bike 9 months but the more you see the more you want to do. Go to youtube and search for iron 883 or nighters. Depends on the look you're going for. Pipes first for sure, then probably forward controls, mirror flip, take off the reflectors, belt guard, new seat, bars...be careful though because it's very addicting, but way fun!!
