Has anybody done an engine swap on thier Iron (883 to 1200)? I plan on storing my bike at the stealership when I deploy and was thinking about having them do one. Its only 1300(including hours) but not sure if the bike its self would be able to handle a different size engine. Don't mean to sound stupid but it is a consern. Thanks.

I really like the width of the stockers.

on another note, has anyone had issues ordering from licks cycles lately? placed an order last week, got confirmation my order was received but never anything about shipping. i tried to call and email but got no response to either.
you can use the stock liscense plate holder to turn it vertical. just take off the plate, then take off the center screw and turn the bracket vertical. then screw everthing back in. Make sure its legal in your state though.

Can anybody here help me understand what exactly this is, and would this have to be moved or adjusted to flip the bars? It really looks like it would get in the way.

Well... I'm all in now on my fender chop. Feels kind freeing that's over with.

Just a rough cut to get the strut off, I'll shape it later. And ignore that miscellaneous hole. Just a scar from my first thought about a mounting hole, but I liked the top mount better. I'll patch that over.

I am dealing with the same issue going on two weeks now. Ordered a tool bag and got instant confirmation and the taking of my money. Roll forward 14 days and not a peep about where my stuff is....not sure if this is an anomaly or they just suck at customer service.

Not to be a suck a$$ but I had an awesome experience with Rich Philips....within three days I had my stuff delivered. Good people to work with and they answer their phones and call you back!!

Let me know if you're able to reach anyone on the phone at Lick's. I called the number on their site and straight to voice mail each and every time. I haven't tried emailing them since I figure if they're not answering the phones they're probably not answering emails either!

Default Lick's Retraction

Glenn and others --

I checked the Lick's website this morning and I see they've updated their toolbag section. I guess they are running 4-6 weeks on leather and then another 2 to get your bag made! So my apologies for my earlier critique...I guess the principles of supply and demand hit you hard when you're stuff is in high demand! On a similar note I ordered recently a Bell Custom 500 helmet in Orange Flake but was told they were on back order, so I bought a Silver Flake from another seller. I ended up getting both! Anyone interested in a Silver Flake Custom 500 helmet (Size L) brand new still in the box!

got pics of the silver helmet? i'm very interested!

also, i talked to AJ at Licks two days ago. He said they were just a little backed up getting some fab work and powdercoating finished and then all my products would ship out. I order the slimline solo seat and 30" drag bars in black.

New to this forum. First time Harley owner (I rode dirt bikes for years). Got my 09 Iron a little over a year ago. I love this bike! Honestly, as soon as I saw one of these Iron's I knew I had to have one. Took me about 3 months from the first time I laid eyes on one to get my own. Probably won't do too much more to it but I really like the mods I've seen in this forum. Makes me absolutely sure I chose correctly. Great bike, makes me want to play the Black Sabbath song over and over ... I AM IRON MAN ...

Mods:
Vance & Hines Shortshots Staggered Black
Power Commander
Long stem mirrors
Tank Bra
Black Diamond Cut Gas Cap
8" Fork Bag
Passenger pillion
Passenger pegs
Removeable Sissy Bar

Future mods:
Smoked lenses (on order)
Forward Controls (probably order next week)

P.S. GeorgiaDawg, I was admiring your bike while I was at Thunder Beach.
