Hey boys.
I just wanted to let you know NOT to go to the stealership if your looking for laced wheels for your Iron's.
I sold my mag wheels on e.bay, bought new laced ones (again from e.bay), and made an extra 200.00 , wich paid to have the tires put on them.
Cheers.

Couple of questions from an Iron883 newb... thanks in advance
1. How hard is it to put on my own exhaust? I've wrenched on cars before but I am no expert so does anyone suggest I install it myself? Maybe with the help of my pops?
2. Will i need a new exhaust crush gasket? My bike only has 1k miles.
3. How do I remove the front fork reflectors?

1)It took me less then an hour to install Vance & Hines Shortshots and I took my time. I have average mechanical skills I suppose.
2)Yes, always use new gaskets.
3)They are held on with double-back tape. Either pull them off by hand or very carefully take a flat blade screwdriver tip to start them and then pull them off by hand the rest of the way. You could also use fishing line behind it to start it. It's easy, really.

anyone have a diy solution for a vertical liscense plate frame? i'm not a fan of how far the stock bracket brings the plate out. also, does anyone know the width of the stock handlebars on the iron? when i measured i got 29". this was also done half-drunk so i figured it'd be best just to ask some experts. i'm wanting drag bars, i just don't know if i want 28" or 30" inch ones. I really like the width of the stockers.
on another note, has anyone had issues ordering from licks cycles lately? placed an order last week, got confirmation my order was received but never anything about shipping. i tried to call and email but got no response to either.

Hey Akgoalie7
When removing the reflectors, DO NOT USE A SCREW DRIVER!!!!!
Take a fishing leader, and by holding onto eachend pull it underneith and then along the reflector. It will come off really easy. And no scratches. Then take a product such as (goo gone) and remove any glue left behind.
Cheers.

when i did my reflectors i was so suprized how easy it really was.....i put my finger on the fork tube , then lightly pried(sp) with the tip of a small screw driver against my finger , once the corner was loose , i just pulled off the reflector , and the sticky tape pulled off in one piece , didnt even have to use goo gone
