Default wrap burning?

just installed octane sikpipes that were wrapped test drove it, and when i stopped i noticed and smelled something burning is it the wrap? i had hell tightning the nuts could it be that they might be leaking

Default wraps smoking?

ok so i guessed i should of did a little reasearch before posting it is supposed to smoke for a while

Default new pipes

just installed the octane pipes from sikpipes. i love them. it was well worth the wait.they sound almost the same as the short shots i had before but with a more deeper tone.rides the same too no backfiring or anything.just cant wait for the wrap to stop smoking. already got a gash on my leg from the sharp pointy end trying to back it up out the garage. i still have plenty of work to do but what do you think so far.

great job!... those pipes look great.. how is the velocity stack working for you?... well, you now got me jealous with that velocity stack/NRHS breather kit combo.... I got to paint my breather kit and install it..

I guess the smoking is normal... I am not familiar with pipe wrapping... hey... post a video !!

Default *Update* 2010 XL883N more mods!

Good day eh

This is my 2010 Iron 883 (Canadian Model) before and after adding a few mods.

List of mods are as follows...

Lick's 30" Wide Drag Bars
Lick's Slimline solo spring seat
Removed stock tail light, flipped license plate and added run/turn/brake set up
smoked turn signal lenses up front
black trim rings for rear turn signals
SE Heavy breather, Stage 1 D/L
Vance and Hines Short Shots
5 3/4" Bobber Headlight - fabricated bracket that mounts on with stock bolts
Flipped the mirrors

Any questions or comments would be appreciated - these forums have been a great source of information, thanks to everyone for all the feedback!
