Finally got some pictures worthy of this great thread.
I've been reading this thread for a long time, and finally feel that I've got my bike pretty close to where I want it to be (for now of course...) so it's time to show it off.
Before I get into what I've done to it, let me first explain the dent in the tank. Put simply, I am Dumb. First week I had it, I was leaving a friends through an alley and it was still early spring so there was a good amount of sand from the winter and I learned a lesson that all of you probably know, sand + front brake = a bad experience.
So, onto the good things I've done to it:
Removed front fender, replaced with custom fabricated fork brace
Inverted handlebars
Removed speedometer (still waiting on new mount a friend is making for me)
Removed one mirror(moved remaining one under bars)
Silencer grips
Sidekick seat (shown in pics with solo as well)
One-piece detachable sissy bar
Smoked turn signals
Future Improvements (once the funds are there):
Forward Controls
1200 upgrade, the 883 is good when riding alone but I definitely notice a lack of power when riding with friends.
New air cleaner, not sure on brand, anything thin that my leg won't be hitting. So if anyone has a suggestion I'm open to 'em
Would like to chop the rear fender a little but don't want to go too far, my old lady probably wouldn't enjoy getting water up her back if a puddle got in my way
Anyway onto the pictures:

Hey NAS... here is the tutorial about the headlight relocation, it includes the bracket idea....
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...ml#post5450081
Please notice that in order to make it strong enough so it doesn't vibrate/rattle/shake I used three layers of metal... I stress this point on the tutorial.. you really need a bracket that is thick and strong enough.... I later made the bracket look better after some grinding of the rough edges and I later used auto body filling to make it look like one solid piece, I will post a close-up picture of the bracket later.
BTW... who is going to Daytona Bike Week this weekend?... I am... Happy riding!!

Here's another link to a thread that has a post about a headlight lift the way I did it. Plus other good looking lifts.

Did I take the easiest route? No. But it's just a different way to go about it.
You can always take other people's ideas and rework them in your own way, also.
