Hey guys, this thread seems to be great to address Iron 883 issues!

Im currently 260 pounds and relatively lean, 6'2, will the bike be too small for me? Although in my opinion this is the best looking HD at the moment, still dont want to risk the embarrassment of not being able to get up hills! :P

Even though mines VERY unfinished i thought i'd share how the winter progress is coming.
I traded my Silver Iron tank with a guy that wanted his nightster to be all silver. I am doing a custom paint so it didn't matter to me. I also traded my MAg rims for the spoked.
I got the spokes powdercoated black and there is still a lot more to do but this is how it sits so far.

thanks guys, it's a seat pan from ebay (type in nightster or iron seat pan) and it should come up, with a Licks Cycle tuck n roll white seat. I don't have any close up pics right now but i will get some later.

The seat and the pan didn't work without some minor modification but it came out great.

My other bikes are a Road King and a Valkyrie and I was worried that an 883 would be underpowered for me at 265#.

I got a great deal and bought an Iron without ever having ridden any 883 so there were some concerns on the 150 mile ride home from getting it.

No worries, the Iron pulls a fat *** like me just fine.
It gets even better with new pipes, breather, ecm reflash.

Enjoy your Iron.

Hey GEORGIADAWG

Where did you relocate you fuelpack to when you added the new seat?

the 2010 models don't have the issue of needing to relocate when changing the seat.
