I just checked my box and it is part # 29264-08 and says it is for 08 XL's.

29264-08, which I have found to mean:
" PN: 29264-08
1991-2008 Sportsters

Called the indy, told him the situation. He said he could probably make it work but it would require some custom work so he told me to call the dealership. I called them and talked to the guy he told me to bring the stuff down and he'll try to get the right bolts. BBS

It sounds like you just need to go to the dealer and grab a pair of 08 breather bolts, it looks like everything else is sitting flush and should seal properly.

Yeah everything else seems okay to the point I got to. Just got back from the dealership and picked up these smaller bolts:
Going to try the install again right now.
