Question Removing Baffle in 09 IRON

I wanted to find out if any of my performance or if I will encounter any issues with the computer for fuel air mixture if I drill out the baffles in my exhaust. Many of my friends have done this to their bikes and they sound 10 times better but I am still a little leary about drilling anything on my new bike if there is a chance of messing something up.

Yes, you'll need to address the injection if you fiddle with the exhaust or intake if you want to take full advantage of the change.

But, if you just want to make the bike noisy, I have a Sawzall that'll take care of those pesky baffles.

I put a 1/2" hole in each baffle of my 07,it took about twenty minutes of riding for the ecm to recalibrate to the change to get rid of the decel pop,I like the sound alot better, but it will not get me in trouble with the cops either,I just want to ride and not get hassled when I'm in the city.

Personally, I prefer going the slip on route then drilling the baffles. I've heard success stories and horror stories from ppl who've drilled them. Some say they sound grossly horrible and other love it...just depends I guess.

I agree, plus you will still have your OEM mufflers in case you need them to get an excessive noise ticket cancelled.
Look at the Cycle shack slip ons, most on here that have them are quite happy and the price is right.
