I am in the market for a new seat on the sporty. But, this is a department that I don't have much knowledge in. Its an 08 883, and as you know the stock seat starts to suck after about 60-70 miles. I put pull back risers on the bike to bring the bars up and back closer to me - so I don't want to loose that. I want the ride position to mostly stay as is, or could be a bit closer to the bars but def. not back. So I come to you guys with suggestions on what seat would be a good fit. I am average build (5 '8, 180 lbs). Just looking for solo seat suggestions price/comfort.

 

I'm looking into getting the Corbin Hollywood solo. It's a bit pricey but I think it looks pretty nice. You can also check out Lepera and Mustang seats. They have some nice solos as well

Did you use the Harley 4" curved risers with your stock bars? I have 1200 low and I'm looking to replace the stock semi-buckhorn bars which are turned inward a little too much. I was thinking of going with the 4" curved risers and maybe stock dyna low or something simlar that would keep the rise and pullback pretty much the same but with a more outward angle at the grips.

 

i have a mustang vintage solo i'm selling that would go real nice with those bags (pitch pitch). only about 6mos. old and real comfy.

 

my wife has a 06 883L, she has a seat from CCseats.com, that she has forsale. Its black leather with red stitching. If your interested let me know and Ill make you a real good deal, better than new price any ways, the seat is only about 6 months old, then we changed her bike to a 4.5 gallon tank requiring a new seat.

 

I am really happy with my sundowner...although it never really fit well...
