The 883 Iron is one cool bike. For the price and what you get right out the door you can't go wrong.

I saw one up close at the dealers and it looked good. It looks a lot like my 95 sporty except I have the swing arm extended by 3 inches, chain, and a digger rear fender. But I have to say I am impressed by the factory producing such a bike. People can be cynical about the dark customs but the sporty and street bob are nice (they gotta go back to black cases though on the SB).

by far the nicest looking sportster out right now. I'd rather have the iron and do a 1200 upgrade than get the nightster.

The Iron is a really sweet looking ride. I want to get a Nightster this spring but money may have me getting the Iron for now.

Cool

Can't wait until I get mine... I'm just torn between the silver or black...

The flat sillver looks really cool in person.. It really highlights all the blacked out engine components.

The Iron is a nice bike, and if it fits your needs it's hard to go wrong for the price...

But like ANY other bike, each model has it's good points and bad points. I currently own 6 different Harleys, ranging from a chopped rigid frame 1949 Panhead, 1981 Dyna Shovelhead, 1996 EVO Dyna WideGlide, 2001 TC Road King, 2003 TC Softail FatBoy, and modified EVO 2005 1200C.. All are very nice bikes, but each has positive and negative points.

Best advice is to own a few different models so you can 'pick and choose' depending on how you feel on a certain day.
