Instead of a new Nightster? Just curious is all. Seems like a great deal for someone just getting into riding...

It looks like to me that someone figured out a way to sell 1200 conversions... Make a bike that is more physically desireable (to some people), but make it an 883. If that bike would have been available when I got my bike, I would have got that one and done a conversion right away.

My plan is to get the Iron as my first bike.

The price is right.

I loved the blacked out look.

The price is right.

The motor size should keep my insurance premium down.

The price is right.

I can't wait to get mine. I'm on the net everyday looking for newer pics of the Iron 883..

This forum should start a section specifically for the Iron.

Don't count on that. I just picked up mine yesterday, and it's going to run me more than my N to insure. By like about 100 a year. Shop around is all I'm sayin.

I don't get it. Who would buy the Nightsters ugly sister?????? That bike is built out of all the left over parts from the last 12 years and for some reason people are bitting on it.
Harley took the Nightster and turned it into a cheap TURD and are trying to sell it like it was something new and cool.

Can't really say much. Too cold to get any seat time on the Nite Lite, but I'll be sure to post up when I do. Right now just getting some mod work out of the way. Relocated the turn signals, powder coated the headlight trim ring and tossed on a new seat already, going to swap the exhaust and rear sprocket off the 1200 onto it probably Monday.
