I'm getting one for my wife. I traded a CJ7 for a '01 1200 a few years back. I did some stuff done to it and then didn't like the ride. Felt very top heavy. She didn't end up riding it because she felt uncomfortable so I sold it to my little sister. Well of course she wasn't happy about that and the "well, you never rode it" didn't go over well either. I think I am gonna wait till people start taking advantage of the trade in to pick one up. Dealerships are completely overcharging right now. Military sales are offering MSRP, but they are sold out.

By the way, to the guys that are mentioning about older riders looking down on them because they don't have the "look". I have my streetbob, a 98 Buell and an R1. When I'm on anything but the bob with my buell jacket with the yamaha and harley patches other harley riders won't even acknowledge that I'm on the road. I've been riding since I was nine. I just laugh when some guy that's been riding for a few years and is too good because he owns a harley to make eye contact. Just enjoy the ride!

manchester hd has the black one for $8199. That's the price on the sticker, and the price you'll pay out the door. I bought my deluxe from them this summer, and they do not add anything to the sticker price unless you are buying accessories.

they also had the silver one, but i didn't see the price on that one.

the silver looked better in person than in the pics, but didn't hold a candle next to the black on in my opinion.

oh, and no sales tax cause it's nh! Live free or die!!!

I just bought an Iron this week- Please have mercy but honestly this is my first Harley. I have had bikes for 25 years starting with my first at age 16, a Honda CM450. had many others mostly GSXR's,GS's and KZ's.

I have always wanted a Harley and the price and the size of this bike is right for me. It looks very cool as well. Will pick it up in 2 weeks or so. Can't wait.

 

had I not got my 1200 back in September I probably would have gone with the Iron. I am wondering how it would look with absolutely no chrome on it, black out the pipes fork and and shocks. that would look great IMO

I picked up my Nightster last week. And it's not too powerfull and the dealer gave me the price I wanted to pay. The iron is a great looker as well but If I can pay just over 1k more and get a 1200. then I will, so I did.
The nightster is my first Bike and I love riding it even though its about 30 degrees here still.

 

Good deal if you got it for $9500 OTD. I still like the Iron better mostly because of the blacked out engine vs. the grey. Where'd you go, Barb's or Brian's?
