Me likey, Me likey !. Saw it yesterday for the first time. Fell in love with it which looks so much nicer than the Nightster. The only problem is that I'm a big guy 6'-2" and weigh 280 lbs. I could make that Black Denim Iron like I was riding on a little kiddie's bicycle, LOL.
If I didn't care what others would think of me...I'd change the handlebars to Jesse James Ape style, take the front fender off, get the high performance screaming eagle air filter and crazy loud pipes to make the bike looking like a Bad *** !.
Sticking with my Ultra,
Thorey

Why the hell is it that the older traditional half helmet/skull cap crowd always give the younger guys crap about not wearing boots for safety???
I'm military and wear combat boots all damned day at work...ride in skate shoes or vans or converse all stars. I just think it's funny to be more concered about your toe nails than your teeth.
I like the 883 Iron. Will a "1200 Kit" iron out perform a stock 1200 sportster? I know that most twin cam 95" builds will smoke a stock 96".

No Iron for me but in regards to this insurance premium thing....The insurance through State Farm on my Deluxe is exactly identical to my Sportster. Strange but true.

That sucks about losing your heel. All I was saying is that the old school biker (not all) at times seems to give us new schoolers strange looks for not "dressing the part." That is a form of alienation, and it has kept a lot of people off of these wonderful bikes. Please dress according to road conditions (of course), but also, you should feel comfortable. It's just that alot of the new kids don't feel as natural wearing big clunky boots. Of course, one should always proceed with caution when operating your scoot...ride like the wind...
