i like the blacked out look i think they shoulda gave the nightster blacked out look and the iron the grey engine. i prefer the irons look but seriously everyone needs to stop acting like this is special its really no different than the nightster just with an 883. and as an 883 its no different than the others except aesthetically. its a nice bike but people need to stop acting like harley actually gave us something new.

I thought that the Iron was just a pathetic baby Nightster when I first saw it on the website. But after seeing it in person I think it is an awesome looking bike. The all black engine just looks right. The bars fit that bike to a T. I would buy one. It's different in it's own way.

Default 883 Iron

Just picked mine up saturday.
Yes it's an 883.
Yes it's the Nightsters little brother/sister, but it is a much cooler looking bike IMO.
Insurance treated me right, plus price was right.
Regardless of what some people say it IS a HD, whether made up from left over parts or not it's a cool bike and I'm happy with it. I think if you like it, get it. If you don't, well then don't. After all that is why there are different models to choose from.

Well put. No, Harley didn't give us anything new, but I was just curious as to how many people were interested in checking out the new bike. I have a Nightster, but I am not an elitist in any way. Who ****ing cares? Go out and have fun riding, we need to stop putting people down for not having a 1200 or a Softail or whatever. To some, we aren't even true for owning a Fuel injected "boutique" bobber. Congrats to you Iron owners, and to the rest of you, get over yourselves...

it's a cool bike, even though it looks like the N pooped it out. who gives a fvck whether it's an 883, 1200, big twin, really? it looks much better than some of the foreign crap i see going down the road. to each his own and to own is a blessing.

My buddy just picked one up and all I have to say is wow. Especially with black V&H 2-to-1's and the screamin eagle filter set-up.

I agree about the camera. I'm itching to see good pictures of the Iron with mods.

The Iron 883 is first time I have ever wanted an HD, gonna be getting it this summer. I'm 19 by the way, and if any of you have seen the Iron 883 vid on HD's website, I look just like that kid riding it, with the flannel, and Vans skate shoes.

The price is definitely right, and so is the look

Right on Connor !!! I am your new school, non traditional biker too, and I love that they are gearing that bike towards your crowd. We need more vans wearing, tattooed up riders with a new school mindset as opposed to...well, you know ...the old guard or the weekend warrior.
