Default Seat upgrades!!!

I have an 06 sportster and my seat is terrible, I bought one of the gel pads and it made it worse!!!! You can not adjust yourself in the seat because the matterial that it is made from sticks to your jeans!! I am reluctant to buy a new seat cause you can't try it out! So if you here of anything can you let me know!!! Been sufferring for 3 years now!!!

Everyone will have a different idea about seat comfort, but I really like my Mustang Vintage Solo seat. I just bought the pillion for two-up ridding. Dennis Kirk had the best price I could find on the net for a new seat.

Thumbs up Mustang!!

Are several good seats out there and we are not all the same but the Mustang overall is the best Seat to sit on a Bike IMHO..

You didn't mention how tall your wife is. If she is short, get a suitable seat. The 883L comes with a seat made for a shorter person, and puts you a bit further forward. They are also a bit narrower, to keep your legs from spreading out too much, and makes it easier to flat-foot. The Reach seat by HD is supposed to do the same thing. Also LePera says they have seats available for the later models, but don't show any on their website. They also have a seat designed for shorter people. But, if your wife is over 5'4" or so, it shouldn't matter as much.

Mustang has several good seats. And the HD Sundowner is also good. I have the Sundowner on my 883L. For me it's great! However, not all butts are created equal.

Unfortunately the only way to find the best seat for you is to ride on the seat for an extended period. When I installed my Sundowner, and of course quickly took a seat, I was disappointed. It really didn't seem to be much of an improvement. Then I took a 100 mile ride and could tell there was a HUGE improvement.

If you need a seat I have the Mustang Vintage Solo and also the detachable rear seat for sale. Fits 4.5 Gal tanks...

Let me know if interested....

I traded in my Sporty so I no longer need them

Anything Mustang is superior comfort. Vintage solo, Tripper, etc is all a matter of preference but in any case, her butt will be happy on long rides!
