Default Top 10 Mods for the Iron 883

Is anyone leaning towards purchasing the new Iron 883 ?

If so.....

In your opinion what would be the top 10 mods you would like to see on the bike??

Here's my list:

1. RSD's Vintage Handle Bars
2. Forward Controls
3. V&H Short Shots Black
4. Fuel Management
5. RSD's Air Cleaner
6. Relocate Spedo
7. Smoked Lenses
8. 2" lowering spring kit
9. Custom Seat
10. Led brake light under rear fender.

I think a 2" drop on the Iron would only get you a ton of sparks!lol Other than that the list looks solid.

you could do the 2" drop in the rear if you really had to but i would do it with struts not shocks. there is 3" of clearance with the standard shocks. so thatd leave u 1" clearance fine for struts buit i wouldnt push it wit shocks. i woul get 10" shocks if u wanted to drop it with shocks from lickscycles.com that would be a 1" drop. i personally wouldnt drop the front endits already lowered because an iron 883 is basically 883 low in the seat position and such. so i think youd have to cut the front springs cuz i think all the lowering kits out there are desinged towards custom or the roadster or the used to be standard. to bring it down to the low height. and if you go with shorts shocks stay away from the fuelpak or pcIII because it uses a deeper tray for the ecu. the tray for the pcIII is 1" deep.

Thinking about one if I can't find a nightster I like. Just talked to a dealer today about one. If I get it, I'll start with forwards, a new A/C, fuelpak, and black sideshots. After that I'll look at some other small pieces to change like smoked lens covers and other small stuff. Would like to know what people are paying OTD on these. If I could get one for $8500 I'd do it.

I posted this on another thread so I don't wanna hear anyone crying.
Our shop just installed a set of stock heatshields and rush slip ons we had ceramic coated satin silver on a Iron, it was probably the coolest looking set up you could put on that bike....sorry no pics!

I would think the 1200 conversion would be high up on the list.

1200 would be nice but with the 09's you can't just bore out the cylinder. If I get one, it'll be on my list of things to do in a couple years. Just not right away.
