Default change the tank
bought the wife an 01 883xl she does not like the peanut tank,she likes the 4.2 gal the one on the customs.can i mount one on hers without changing out the mounts?

I believe you are referring to the 4.6 gallon tank. It is my understanding that you will need to purchase a mounting kit. It is around 225.00 from HD.

do a little shopping, there are a lot of tanks for the 03 and back sporty, only a few for us rubber mounts, prolly some direct bolt on
