Ok he said underneath it has the regular tongue the sportsters have (in front) and it had a bracket on the back which was used to attach it to the guzzi (more evidence for sportster seat)

He also said this "the other # S8508, 16+-" X 12.5+- this is also the size of many sportster seats"

$30 w/ free shipping seems like a decent price assuming it doesn't go up which it probably will.

 

Well, as I said it looks very much like my seat. However, the bottom of my seat says "MILSCO" above the # "03140620" all in very small white stamp letters/numbers. The front mount is exactly alike, but the back of mine does not have those indentations on each side of the rear mounting bracket where it rises. Also, mine does not have the cutouts/airholes further out on each side of the indentations that i just mentioned....but other than that it looks almost exactly alike. MOCO probably just used a different supplier or design for '01, '02, or '03.

That looks about right on the bottom looking at pre 04 seats.

 

He emailed me again said its more around 15" x 12" if that seems any better.

 

This was the size I got when I measured the bottom plastic portion of my seat lastnight. I don't currently have any pics of the scoot with just the solo seat on it. All I got are pics with the solo, passenger pillion & HaulenAss backrest.....But if you look at xFreebirdx's scoot in his sig, that's what it would look like, except I've shaved mine down to about 1/2" or 1" thickness all over it.
