Default Brake Line

2003 XL 1200 C. I've been thinking about putting on some apes and it looks like the clutch and throttle cables will be long enough. The front brake line is "iffy" tho'. My question is - in order to gain an inch or two, can I bend the "L" shaped metal brake line with no ill effects?

Default If u dont have apes go home.

I probably wouldnt just bend that hard tubing. i put apes on all i changed was the front brake line. With a little reworking of the wiring everything else will fit but just barely with mini apes taller than those wire extensions will be needed. Find a set cables from a street bob that came with apes its a perfect fit.

You can fudge it a little to get you by. Wouldn't bend it too drastically. Undo the clips, Get it where you need it and put the top clip back on to keep it in place. But if you rub a hole in your line, not my fault.

No problem.. thanks anyway. After more careful measuring, it's just not going to be enough using existing cables. I don't think I know of anyone who has done this and was satisfied with the results.
