Default Side Panels?

Are the left/right side panels (battery cover and oil tank cover) on an '08 made of plastic or metal?

Can they be powder coated?

I have considered doing mine in flat black, can't decide if I want to powder coat them or just spray paint them, there's a big price difference.

Mine are factory matched and paid 132.00 for the pair
The stock battery cover when it falls off is like 128.00 !

That isn't a bad idea, thanks for the heads up. I will have to try and track it down.

I know they make it in professional paint.. but you might be able to find it in an can.. and try it on something first.. Unless you have a paint gun and clean room..
