Default What do they do?

So I've heard alot about getting a bike dynotuned. I have a carb so if it got tuned it would probably have to get re-jetted. But what else gets done when you get a bike dyno'd at a dealership?

With fuel injection they can adjust a number of things with a computer I'm not sure with a carb but I imagine they would try different jetting, needle and mixture screw settings and maybe could even adjust the timing for best performance.Make sure you're getting dyno tuning as opposed to just a dyno run which would be pretty much useless by itself.

Dyno tuning will get the most power out of your setup with fine tuning the jetting but it will probably be more $$$ than its worth to you. Those I've talked to say that they do numerous runs plus charging for making chages to your bike and most avg. between $300-700 (they charge a lot for dyno time and labor). But what do I know as I doubt I would ever pay for having it done. I think my closest dealer charges $100 for one run and a printout.

I believe you need to rejet when upgrading exhaust and intake, otherwise your running to lean. So do the dyno tune and the rejet should wake her right up.
