Default Hard Bags on the Sportster

I want to put hard bags on my 06 886 XLC, but I dont know about the quality of different bags.

I like the Harley ones that are paint matched, but the retail is 1300 bucks. Are they worth it?

Has anyone else bought these?

I looked at the bags from National Cycle buts they look "cheap" to me.

Anyone else own hard bags for their Sportster? How happy are you with them?

I don't have hard bags, but I do have the rigid leather saddlebags that look and function well.

My bro has the harley hard bags and he loves them. I do have to say they set off his scoot real good. He says they can hold a pile of crap. The directions say you have to move the rear signals to a pair of stalks that I think comes in the kit. You don't have to do that, at least he didn't on his '02. he just shimmed them out till the lid cleared his signals and you can't tell anything is different. Myself, I wouldn't pay what harley wants if I didn't have to. look on e-bay and craigslist, you might get lucky.

Look again at your bags. You have hard bags if you have the 53050 and by looking at your picture you do. They are skinned over with leather.
