Default to baffle or not to baffle

I recently installed and VH short shots and they sound good, but they are almost to "raspy" with a high tone....almost like its missing that low potato-potato sound. So anyway, I see that there are quiet baffles available for these. Anyone have input on these? First hand experience? Before and after video/sounds? At $75 I want to make sure its what I am looking for.

Exactly my sentiments, too. I may pull the original baffles out, but I don't want to be totally obnoxious (just kind of obnoxious), plus I don't want "the Man" hassling me. I also don't want to drop 60 bucks on something like "quiet" baffles. I can live with the loss in torque, mainly on account of I don't usually drag race around town. Usually. So,
what are the opinions?

Quiet baffles take the harshness out, but you will notice a small decrease in volume! Gives it a deeper sound that makes up for it for me>

Quiet baffles yes. Much better, deeper sound IMO and the neighbors and wildlife like them too.

Thanks for all the input. Seems the consensus is quiet baffles make it sound better. I went ahead and ordered them. Should be here tomorrow.
