Default Seat Fitment

Hey Guys,

Will a stock solo seat from an 08 883 Low fit on a 1200 Low? If not can it be made to fit? I know for earlier years 883's and 1200's were interchangeable but has this changed? Thanks for the info.

If the tank sizes are the same, yes.

There are fitment issues going from carbureted models to injected models, but that shouldn't be the case here. The difference is the EFI module located under the seat.

Seats for the 3.3G tanks have a longer nose than those fitted to the 4.5G tanks. I have been told that you can put a seat for a 4.5G tank on a 3.3G tank equipped bike, but there will be a slight gap between seat and tank. I cannot vouch the accuracy of this information, though.

No, it will not fit. 883L has a 3.3 gallon tank. 1200L has a 4.5 gallon tank.
