my tail light is on when i have the key turned to accesories...when i turn it to ignition, the light goes off and when i push the break there is not light....i have a 1990 sportster, and can't find the button or push trigger for the break light...need help

 

Does your headlight still work? Anything else going out, or just your taillight?

 

well took all the wiring off the terminals, but i took good pictures and have everything hooked back up right...i and trying to put led tail lights and having trouble with those as well..but yes the headlight works.

 

sounds like the switch itself to me

 

Yeah, I will agree with schu, I would pull that switch off and use your volt tester and see if your brake wire is getting power.
