Anyway, so what you're saying is that you don't even like the XR? Did sitting on it make your vagina hurt? Even still, you want to track VINs and ownership? What kind of freak are you, Crap?

I see that you reformatted your list. Called you on your laziness, and I was right. Didn't care to respond to that, did you?

Hmm, what's that they used to say about sticks and stones? Go for it, it will give you something else to waste time on...he,he BTW, if you are going to say I said something you may try to get it right. I said, "I didn't care for it at all." But that's ok, you're used to hacking things up so why change now.

I'm going riding.

The closest 2 were observed by breezybikerdeb 430403 and 430406, which she saw at the dealer when she purchased hers. Harley builds roughly 70,000 Sportsters a year so who knows which model 430405 is.
I stand corrected then.

Do you see any trends in our rough numbers then? Maybe USA bkes having lower starting numbers then? It would be cool if we could also move these locations to Google maps, with pin drips of the dealers.

No, at best the numbers are random selection meaning Harley more than likely started with one number when the 2009 line started and the XR bikes are mixed in with all other Sportser models. Where the sequences started for 2009 US models relative to European models would be difficult to come up with unless they had a recall that involved the whole lot. At that point the recall would have the range of VIN's that could be read on the notice.

I'm wondering if the news of Harley's lay-offs, world economic news, and stock price. That they would cut back on yearly totals? Since people aren't buying like we did in years past.

It's estimated that Harley ill cut production by 30%, which is the largest decline since early in the 1970's. The companies 4th quarter net earnings fell by 58%.. Here's a great article on the current situation..

But, my observation (theory) still holds true until I see a serial number that proves different. Can any one show me an American XR1200 with a serial number that does NOT fall between 429XXX-433XXX?
Yes.

The last 6 digits of the VIN of my XR (or should I say my "EX-R1200" since I no longer have it) is 424625. It had an 11/08 build date. I took delivery on Dec. 2nd.

The letter not only doesn't tell you which specific numbered XR you purchased, it also says, "Please keep in contact with your Harley-Davidson dealer to find out more details about the delivery date of your XR1200."
I got my letter and number plate almost 8 weeks after I'd taken delivery of the XR.
