I get an MSO on every vehicle I buy and they do have to be ordered. Why would the dealer keep it, it is not a title or a certificate of ownership, that is why they have this thing called a bill of sale or a title. I even have 2 of them on dirt bikes I have payments on.

I spoke with Harley cust service this morning. People who bought one of the first 750 xr1200s will receive a commemorative letter with signatures. This certifies that you purchased from the initial offering. The letter should show which of the 750 you own (still don't know if the last 3 of vin distinguish that---good bet though). I would think that the owner's of both 001 and 750 will be singing "I've got the golden ticket...."

I found another one to add to our list today. I took a ride over to Bowling Green Harley-Davidson and just inside the door is #434721. It's orange and black. The price on the bike was $11,349 plus tax, license, shipping and set up. I figure that kicks it right over $12,000.
The only suspension adjustment is the rear shock preload. The pillion seat will be useless but I can see a real need for a color matched pillion cover. The oil cooler hangs off in left field somewhere and the hose lay is butt ugly. The exhaust note is decent but the looks of the exhaust and how they attached the pillion sole guard have got to go. The mat finish on the engine has no luster to it at all which is one thing that bugged me about the Rocker. The wheels looked very nice as does the speedo/tach display. The rear sets are too far forward for my liking but I am used to a traditional sportbike set up. The ride position is more upright than I thought it would be. I have no doubt this bike will sell and I am equally certain there will be all sorts of goodies on the market for it eventually. I will have to say that considering the base MSRP is $10,799 I have to ask why Harley is marking them up so much and this dealer is not dropping the price. It is the only one they will get.

I have # 432057, whatever that means. I'll call the dealer tomorrow to see if they have any more info on the MSO as far as sequence #. I haven't gotten a letter from Harley yet.
