Default 2000 sportster

what kind of transmission problems are there with a 2000 sportster,a friend of mine just bought a 2000 sportster for his son and the guy he got it from said the 1st gear shift fork was a little worn and this was common on that year model , but it seemed to run fine it was just a little stiff shifting from 1st to 2nd . THANKS

Never heard of that myself. I have a 99 and nver had a problem like that.. Sounds like there may need to be a little clutch cable adjustment however.
