I rode about 650 miles from Indianapolis to South Carolina in one day when I had my sportster. Don't be afraid to venture out....that's where all the fun is!

A little over 1,000 miles in a day, from Portsmouth Va to Savannah Ga and back for a benefit Iron Butt ride.

Also took a 4 day trip with some riders from work and went from Portsmouth Va to Atlanta Ga the first day, from Atlanta to Birmingham Al and back the 2nd day then over to Myrtle Beach SC the next day and the last day we rode back to Portsmouth Va. I think it was close to around 1800 miles by the time we got done.

4800 miles in 8 days, 550-650 miles per day. Tossed a sundowner seat and a detachable windshield on before the 2200 mile trip from SF to IA avoiding I80 as much as possible. Returned via I40/Route 66, 2600 miles in four days. Nice ride.

The longest I've done was 2-up to PA from SC, approx 650 miles there on friday, went cruising through the mountains with my buddy that lives there, about 200 miles that day (sat) then back home 650 miles on sunday so approx. 1500 miles in three days.

I hit exactly 500 miles in one day this summer on the way to Milwaukee. We left from Mansfield, OH and rode North all the way to Mackinaw in one day. It wasn't bad at all. Everyone in the group was on baggers and they couldn't believe I was making the trip on a "lowly sportster". In fact at a couple dealers they made jokes about me trading it in to finish the trip...

2,368 miles from Riverside California to Bowling Green Kentucky in 3 days of May 2006. Longest day was just under 700 miles from Kingman Arizona to Amarillo Texas. The bike, a 1200R still had the 3.3 gallon tank on it. Not any more though. This taught me why I needed a 4.5 gallon tank.

My brother and I rode about 475 miles in a day from Blowing Rock, N.C., to Cleveland. That was one leg of a 1,600 mile, five-day trip for me from Chicago to North Carolina and back, via Cleveland. I was on my '08 1200c, my brother on his Kawasaki Vulcan 500. I definitely had the more enjoyable ride.
