They should be wiring them through the bars for that price.
That price is a bit high.

I have the bars from the sportster low on my custom. The throttle cable, and clutch cable both reached. The brake is the only one I replaced. Total cost about $60.00 for the brake line. Talked with the dealer techs, and they actually had no idea until they tore into the swap if all the cables would reach. No help, so I did it myself.

I like buckhorn bars; my old Hugger had them and I wish my current Roadster had them. A member of this forum gave me a set of bars off a Dnya Low that I plan to install, as soon as I can come up with a bracket to hold the speedo/tach assy. (don't want to do the Xena mod)

Default Do I have Buck Horns?

I have my first Harley, and I am not sure if I have what you are calling Buck Horns or not.

I will agree with what someone said about the Wrist Twist thing, I thought it was just a Harley thing but it does seem uncomfortable, I was hoping in time I would build a new muscel and it would be easier on the wrist.

I put a set of HD OEM Buckhorns on my sporty Only thing I had to splice was the wires for the signal lites. MISTAKE!!!!! I was able to pull slack for all the controls, except for the directionals. Later I did some mods that required fuel tank removel. Found a loop in the harness that was wire tied to the frame. About 3 inchs worth that would have been more than enough. Live and learn. Bars are a piece of cake, but pull the tank and I think you will find all the slack you need IMO BTW HD kit comes with all the necessary cables, clutch, throttle, brake. Really do like the bars

now those are some buckhorns! I couldn't stand them! but that's just me. they should of turned the words on the buttons 90 degrees to compensate for the grips' position. and turning in a parking lot or a tight turn, was so weird. it was my mom's 883, but i drove it to school when i was High school.

I'm 5'9" and have buckhorns on my bike. I find them very comfortable, the only thing was I had to play around with moving them back and forth untill I found the position that worked for me.

+1 on that; loosen the top clamps to rotate the bars and find your comfort zone and loosen the grip pods to adjust the lever angle.
