I picked it up tonight and rode it home 40 miles in 33*F weather at night in WV.

Let me hear from any of the other XR owners.

Have fun.

Don't have one but I saw one tonight that the local Harley shop just put out on the floor. Looks like it would be a fun bike to ride, don't see myself ever buying one, but looking forward to the demo rides

I'll get some pics by this evening and attempt to post by tomorrow.

I had a VRSCR as my last harleyt and still own a XB12X Uly. In my mediocre ride at a max od 55 mph on interstate I can say I love the bike.

Every sportster I have owned 87 883L, 90 1200, 97 1200c, 06 883R pale in comparison to this bike. It is stiff without being harsh, has the smoothest power delivery of any XL based motor, the brakes and front forks are phenominal and I found the seat to be reasonable.

Every bike I have had felt lacking. The earlier XLs had crappy suspension, long stopping on the single disc setups, poor factory carburetion, and were choked horribly. The XB has "quirks" with its factory fueling like coughing and stumbling when cold which I have been able to cure for the most part. Since my Uly is a 2006 it has had most of the failures that all the early bikes have had: cooling fan, stator, front rotor warping, and reflashed the ECU. The VRSCR came from the factory horribly choked with OK suspension. The R was the closest to being "right" from showroom condition. The R also weighed at least 100#s more than all the XLs and was extremely top heavy and hard to turn due to its length and height.

Before I get flamed by all the XL and R owners I realize that these are just quirks for the most part and every problem could be fixed for relatively easy money which I did. I enjoy tinkering and upgrading bikes which had drawn me to HD and Buell in the first place. Unfortunately the market has changed.

The XR is the most complete bike I have ever purchased IMHO.

pics I can help with. Let me just say these bike don't photograph well they must be seen in person

Thinking bout it. Or maybe build my own version with the Storz kit
