With any luck I am soon to have a 2007 1200 custom that I will share with my father in law.

2006 XL 883C. My first bike ever, so I really have nothing to compare it with. Mayby I will go for the 1200 next time, but as for now the 883 seemsjust perfect me!

went to the local dealers at least half a dozen times to see if they had a 1200r , they never did , i finally had them go to san antonio , about 200 miles to pick me one up . that sat morning in march when i drove up to the dealer, it was parked outside ready to go and when i first saw it i knew i made the right choice. .

'97 XLH1200S - I never find this high performance, sport model listed. She's kinda old and a little beat up, not real pretty, but she's a little nimble, bad *** and keeps up with all the big boys just fine! I imported her from Canada and a previous owner was kind enough to put a Fat Boy tank on her so I don't have to stop for gas more often than the others. It's a good thing, because we're not getting any better gas mileage than the bigger bikes. The pipes say "potato" like a big girl Harley and the horn has a better bark than an Ultra! We did 6000 miles our first year together and will double that the 2nd. I love her!
