Default 03 883 Custom mid controls

Hey everyone,

I am looking for a set of mid controls to swap out my forwards. The Custom came stock with forwards and I can't reach them comfortably.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

James

Am sure will be getting responses soon although I can reach Fwd's I prefer my Mid's on my Sportster because of the agressive way I enjoy it ..

I don't know if they would work for you, but I just took my mid controls of my 07 nightster. I got fwd controls for christmas. Let me know if you are interested in them. I doubt I will switch back.

How tall are you? man I just can't immagine. My knees are bunched up next to the tank with the forwards. (Sorry that I didn't really help)

I am 5'7" and the forwards on my 1200C also felt too far forward. I installed a set of mini (adjustable) floorboards and they are much more comfortable. I installed them with the front edge about as far forward as the original pegs and the back edge almost back as far as mid mounts. Lets me stretch out when I want or ride in a more agressive position. Got them for $75 from 2orangeharleys.com.

I have a set, but I'm not sure I want to get rid of them...due to the possibility of my daughter, or a GF, needing me to throw them back on the scoot if they would decide to start riding my scoot (& I get my SG as a second bike). You could always check with you dealer or the indy's in your area for take offs that they might have laying around.

Watch EBAY now that our bikes are considered old you can find them there for cheap quite often. I've bought 2 sets there in the last couple of years.

And isn't it nice, when it gets hairy, (wind, rain that sort of thing) to put your feet down and feel the balance of the bike come back. I like the highway pegs at times , but also like to tuck in and really control it I just don't feel comfortable with fwd controls. I know it is a personal thing. I put Lindby crash bars on my fxdl, added hd aux highway pegs for an extra place to put my feet on long rides and kept the mids. Great options IMO. Only change will be footboards when I find the right ones Oh yeah, just mids and highway pegs on the sporty
