Fork tube extensions
Anyone use these? Would this be a cheaper, easier solution to extended fork tubes? Thanks Mark

These were a little more common 20, 30 40 years ago. I have not seen then used much in quite awhile.
Definately a easier way to extend the forks but I think you would be sacrificing some of the strength of one solid down tube.
Also there will be a visible line where it joins with the down tube which (when looking closely) will not look good.

Fork Extensions
Trike Your Bike has been using an extension on their kits for a couple years now without any problems. They suggest raking the front when you convert the bike to a trike. Raking the front 5 degrees requires a 4" extension to get the bike to ride at the same height as it did stock. I recently converted my wife's 1200 Nightster to a trike and added a 5 degree trees and a 100mm extension to the forks. It now rides better than without the extensions. I used the extension listed in the link below.
