Baby oil huh, I didn't think of that one. I guess that would be the choice if you wanted your scoot to have that fresh baby smell. A little powder on the seat to for those long rides

I guess synth is the way to go then. I'm approaching the 1000 mile mark and wanted to see what all the experts where using. also kind of curious to see if anyone was using the hd oil. I appreciate all the input.

Tried em all so far in both engine and primary. All I'm going to say is that synthetic does lower the operating temps. some and enables extended oil change. Currently using Castrol Syntec 20/50 and Lucas full syn. in the primary. Due for a change now so who knows what I'll put in next but I will say it wont be anymore of the boutique $9+ synthetics and I"ll probably go back to gear lube 75/90 or so in the primary.

Shell Rotella T 5w-40 Synthetic. It's cold up here right now. I chose the 5w- for an easier-on-the-engine start during this winter.

Yeah, this question can start fights here for some reason. My preference is HD 20W-50 for AZ riding. I used to swear by Castrol GT 20W-50 until I got free oil from class at MMI so I put in the HD synth. What a diff in riding, vibration dampening, and, most important, temperature of the engine! I'd say any premium synthetic oil will keep ya smiling. Now, the big Q: will this turn into a 10-page thread? LOL
