Bummer about that tank, that by itself sort of steers it in the bobber direction.I'm sure you could find somebody that'll take it off your hands though. How about a street tracker? Get some real flat track parts and build a better XR.That would be about the most unique looking it would also be a bunch more comfortable than a cafe and every bit as much fun to ride.By the way I got nothing against bobbers, cafes or chops you just see so few nicely done "street trackers" that'd be the way I'd go, having already done the bobber thing.

Thanks !!!
Just some home made stuff !!!
Couldn't choose between Cafe and Bobber.
Rigid mount sportsters are affordable and reliable, so I've made one of each style...

+1
While I like the new xr1200, I like the "xr's" people are building in garages better. Check out xlforum.com. The have sections devoted to cafe/flat-track/bober/chopper. Save or sell that tank to someone who wont chop it up. To many sportster tanks around to ruin than one.

Joseph Garcia... I gotta admit, my feathers got a little ruffled with the flat black and red comment about bobbers. I wish your bike wasn't so freakin awesome so I could insult it in retaliation, lol!

Agree with special ed, either a flat tracker or Brat style would be pretty cool
