Licks shocks, good idea?
I currently have the Progressive 412s. I ordered the Arnott air ride to lower the bike, but after many talks with the company and my mechanic, it would only go lower 1/2 inch with no air in the shock. I just shipped them back
I would like to buy the Licks 10" shocks and get a bobber fender.
Would the shocks be a good idea for my bike?

Probably not so good. I think it looks great now. With your raked trees dropping the front a tad then going with 10" you'd be scraping all over the place and I have an idea that your belt will rub the inner front pulley cover (mine did with 11" shocks over bumps and riding 2up) and you'll need to pull your belt guard off and likely reroute your wire track under the fender over to the side and I imagine it may still bottom out on the fender from time to time.
Since ride would not be more than a hard tail with 10" shocks and you were willing to spend on the air shocks whey not just send your frame to Led Sled and have em hard tail it (now that would look bitchin). Of course that means more $$ on a fender, oil tank and paint but it would be low and killer looking. Probably would ride better too than stiff springs with 1" travel.
Ya got a good looking bike.

buying the air shocks was a quick reaction, i think if the air shock started out as 11" eye to eye instead of 12", then it would have given me what i was looking for.
I was thinking even when i get the money back, to buy a nightster type rear fender and add a side mount.
I like the smooth fenders with a 200mm or larger rear tire, but i am not sure how it would look on my bike with a 150mm.

Here is another place to consider with short shocks.

As for the fender deal I would just chop your stock one, have the holes welded up, do the run-turn-brake module and pick up a side mount. I got my side mount earlier this year from Road six customs on ebay for like $14, I think they're now $19 or something and its held up great and I have the plate illuminted with some small light bolts.
