Question 1981 XLH -> Bobber

I have the chance to grab a clean 81 Sporty from my uncle..thinking of Bobb-in it??

Gonna try an ironhead? Are you a good mechanic? Like to work on bikes? They are a little strange and finicky. If I was gonna bob a bike I would get an EVO sporty. You'll spend much less time working and more time riding it. And if you are planning on hot-rodding around on a nearly 30 year old bike, think again. These old girls are fun as heck to ride but they won't take beating on.
