Am I the only one...

To each his own but I like it. It's the only current HD I would consider buying.
Harley needs to diversify and play the horsepower/performance game a bit to survive in the future. The old folks driving the baggers are a dying market. I like the old bikes but think there is plenty of room for more new types of Harley bikes too. The XR1200 is a small step in the right direction.
BMW used to basically only sell the boxer engine, they now have singles, parallel twins and inline fours in addition to their boxer. The result is that their market share has increased greatly. I think liquid cooled and other engine types in addition to the air-cooled v-twin would compliment HDs line-up greatly. There's room for the new and the old HDs in the dealership.

sat on one a few months ago , i'm 6'2 and was surprised by how comfortable it felt for a "sportsbike" . the seating and andlebar allows for an upright riding position so wrists should be reasonable intact after a long ride. Haven't ridden one but those that have tested it say it really handles well. lastly , it looks far better in flesh that the promo pics. I would seriously consider buying one if i could justify a 3rd bike.

I have to admit, I was anxious to see and hear about it. Nothing to write home about thats for sure. Some guys will love it, others will hate it, reminds me alot like the Road Glide. I wasnt impressed with that or the rocker. Looks like Harley threw them togather to get a fresh look out there.

Let's see, aluminum swingarm, 50mm down draft fuel injection, inverted front forks, dual front discs, cast wheels, new cams, oil cooler and oil lines to the exhaust valves, rear set controls, 180 rear tire, etc etc...
... for about $900 more than a Nightster.
Pretty darn good deal in my book.
