So you have talked me out of apes--how about drag bars on taller risers? I like the feel of the stock bars on my 08 1200c,but not the look. any pics? ideas?

Hey I like my apes on the Nightster,I have them pulled back though so they are comfortable, not up so my body is like a sail in the wind.

If I ever change my bars, it will be for 16" apes. I actually like the stock bars though. Who talked you out of it?

I'm putting apes on my 06 custom. Drag bars are cool but hurt my shoulder. Apes should be more comfortable depending on what size you get. Try this, sit on your bike and close your eyes and put your hands where they feel comfortable, then have someone measure. I heard that on this forum a while back. worked for me.

I'm not trying to talk you out of apes, I'm actually putting 13's on my EGS, but here are pictures of stock HD drag bars on powder coated HD 6" risers. I know it's not quite the same as your C model but it might give you an idea.

I love my apes. Get what you really want or your gonna just end up changing it again. Spend the money once and be done with it. Trust me, I know...

I like my mini-apes. Was a must for my tall self and goes nicely with my wide-glide front.
