Default Questions about Seafoam??

I'm getting ready to add some Sea foam to my fuel. I think the correct amount would be 1 ounce per gallon of fuel. I was also wondering if i should add a little to the oil as well?? If so How much should i add to the oil?? i didn't see any amount for that. I have a 2008 1200c getting ready to park it for the winter until we have some good days i can take it out for an hour for a spin. By they way it sounds this is some good stuff!!!! I sure hope so!

No, do not put it in the oil. That is only done sometimes to help clean out sludge and moisture, and then it's done just prior to doing an oil change. 1 oz per gallon is correct for adding it to the fuel.

If you are looking for a fuel stabilizer, IMO, Stabil is better for the job. It is designed just to stabilize fuel, not do a whole list of miracles like Seafoam advertises in the propaganda on the can that it does.

If you are not laying it up for months at a time and can take it out for an hour spin every now and then, you do not need to add anything to the fuel.

Would not use it as a fuel stabilzer. I use it to clean out the injectors, etc. Also, I would never think of putting it in the oil.

I did put some (maybe 4 to 8 oz's) in the oil. I drove it for two miles and now it's in storage for 6 months. I'll change the oil and filter before I ride it again next year. Is there a brand of oil (for next year) that is better than others.? How about synthetic oil or synthetic blends.

I run SeaFoam in all my toys. I was also told that it is not a great stabilizer. Use Stabil. Ride/Store safe
