number on heads help???
i got some heads of a sportster, the number on it is 16662-87 not sure if it is for an 883 0r what, can anone please help???

Call the dealer for cross reference by part number.

My 1200 heads are 16684-87.If you really wanna know, look on the combustion chamber side(bottom) and read the stamp.It'l say 883 or 1200

Alright.......16682-87 seems to be a front(also stamped)1200 head.The other one I posted was the rear.I'm pretty sure they're good from '86-'03.
You looking to get rid of 'em?
