Default Sportster riser bolts

Son has a 08 1200c. Putting on apes and 1" risers. Just found out that we can't use the stock riser bolts as the are too long. What is the correct length? Found this out tonight so trying to get an answer so I can pick em up in the morning. Thanks all

Which bolts are you referring to? The top clamp bolts or the bolts that come up from under the trees? Also, which riser are you trying to install?

I used the stock bolts from my custom risers with the standard style risers and top clamp.

The bolts that come up from under the tree. The risers are 1" tall. The bolts on the 1200c are longer becuase of the riser block set up they have.

I used to have this:

Now I have this:

I used the same bolts. If yours don't work for some reason, go to the dealer and get the bolts for either a Nightster or a Roadster. They should be the same. My black risers are 1" tall factory pieces off another Sporty.

If they are the same thread pattern but too long. Cut them the length you need.

Grade 8 bolt with #13 threads....nylon sleeves if needed......pick any length you want
......much cheaper than buying them from the dealer
