got the controls on but have a couple questions....
Hey all,
The Apes look awsome on the bike.....i have a couple questions....first, i'm not buying a manual because i'm only keeping the bike this summer yet then i'm getting somethign bigger over the winter....
1: when i took the controls off the throttle side their was a small little copper clip that fell out and i don't know where it came from? Any help is much appreciated.
2: On the case for the buttons on the throttle side their was a small buttonn that fit into a hole that was towards the master cylinder....i'm just curious what the button does...
3: I got new stainless cables....any sugestion on where to run the wires for best appearance, and also do you have to take the carb off to put the throttle, idle cable on or can you just take the tank off and get them on.
thank you for the help....

The copper clip is what your cable hooks to. Is it round? It holds it to the throttle grip, just look at the end of the grip where it goes into the switch housing and you will see where it goes. Other wise it could be the clip that holds your wiring in place with a little set screw. You should be able to just take your tank off to get the cables on. Run your lines kinda where the stock one were just don't get them twisted. Good luck!

i should have explained what it looks like better.....i have the ferrels for the throttle and idle.....this is a flat peice of copper a quater inch long by about a quater inch wide in the shape of a U like it pushes onto a peice of flat metal.......i have no idea where it came from.....

That clip jams in between the stop light switch and the switch housing. It keeps the switch from sliding back when compressed.
That little switch you mention is the stop light switch. The brake lever pushes or releases it. You want to be sure it's lined up properly in that hole.
