Default So tell me !!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone that owns a Sportster do anything beyond a stage 1 or cosmetic crap to there bikes anymore.
I'm only asking because the only thing people talk about is Crappy exhaust systems and cheap body work and ape hangers or some other handlebars.
Are all the gear head's DEAD??????? Is performance DEAD????????

Nah..

Just this past weekend I tore my carb apart, installed a dynojet kit, smoothed the front and bottom of the slide, drilled the vacuum hole, and polished the slide front, bottom, and sliding surfaces. Throttle response is incredible.

This winter me and a buddy have plans to port the heads and get the valve seats re-cut. I'm debating on larger valves too.

I've been accused of being a gearhead more than once.

My neighbor has a 1 sporty that was a drag bike that he made street legal. Its loud, powerful, and if I posted a pic the responses would be that he needs to wash it and polish it. His other sporty is in the works and he has chopped it and is making a chopper out of a late 90's sporty in his basement.

He couldn't use this computer properly if I told him he could have my bike if he did it.

Most guys like that don't spend time on Forums. They are out there just not on here.

I hope to add some performance mods in the future but not for a while. Although the only thing I have really done to this point are comforts...seat...bars...highway pegs.
