Default Unleaded gas

Anyone use unleaded gas in 08 sportster? Will it damage my bike it I do?

Perhaps I'm not understanding you correctly. If you mean regular ol' low octane fuel, for the extra $1 per fill-up I'll stick with premium.

a 883 will run fine on 87 octane. I run plus (89) in mine since I have all the Screamin Eagle stuff.

83 is pretty low. I would keep it in the upper 80's. I just don't see the extra scratch as an issue though. A Sporty tank is what, 3.3 or 2.2 for a peanut tank, right? That equates to less than a dollar per fill-up for the premium ****.

Run the high octane. Here in CA it's 91. Costs me about $.25 a gallon more. Tank only holds 3.3 so usually it's only about $.50 extra to put a couple of gallons in.

I burn 93 here. Bike just doesnt like anything lower.

I use the 87 in the 02 883 but I use 93 in the Nightster

I use 93 all the time, plus I add octane booster on top of it.
