Unhappy It happened to me.

I went down last night. I was on a back country road and a big buck came out from the right side. I hit the brakes and swerved to the left but I still hit him and I don't remember much after that. Luckily someone was behind me they stopped and called 911. I have many abrasions and bruises. The largest of my injuries are a big gash across the bridge of my nose accompanied by a black eye and I had to get 6 staples for a cut on the back of my head. I wasn't wearing a helmet and my head got the worst of the injuries but luckily I will be ok.

Wow sorry to hear it, those deer can come out of nowhere at a high rate of speed and are sometimes impossible to avoid.
Hope you heal quickly, how's the bike?
I wonder if those little plastic deer whisles for cars would help in this type of situation?

Deer whistles do nothing. In fact, they've been known to attract deer to you due to curiousness.

Hope you get better!

Sorry to hear about the tumble but glad your going to be OK!

Did you get to keep the deer meat?

Just kidding - I had a close call with a big doe in the Sierra Nevada mountains myself about 30 years ago.
